Subject Line: Stretch Your Strengths at Nebraska Business
{Fname},

With 25 business student organizations at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, you’re bound to find at least one that stretches your strengths and offers opportunities to lead.

During her first semester at the College of Business, Madeleine Jacobitz of Omaha, Nebraska combined her passions for finance and economics through her involvement in the Big Red Investment Club.

“The club enabled me to start gaining investment experience from day one. I learned about financial modeling and equity and debt markets before even taking my entry-level finance classes.”

As a member of a student organization that actively manages a $300,000 investment fund, Madeleine analyzed real-time stock data using the college’s Bloomberg terminals. Her involvement led to several networking and leadership opportunities.

“By the spring semester of my first year, I was elected to the club’s executive team. And, just a year later, I became president.”

Now that Madeleine is serving in a leadership role, she feels even more connected to the finance industry. She has major plans for the Big Red Investment Club.

“We’re looking to connect with finance students from other universities and host a regional stock pitch competition. We’ve been doing this within the club this past year, and we want to expand and share this experience with other students in the Midwest.”

Whether you want to be a financial advisor like Madeleine, a chief marketing officer or an accountant, you’ll create the future you want at Nebraska Business.
